Colin Edgar of TRAC has received high recognition for his work within NDT following his nomination for the annual ‘Bob Service Award’.
The Scottish Branch of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) present this annual award which is aimed at recognising the efforts of a young person demonstrating exceptional ability in the field of NDT for a Scottish based company.
TRAC nominated one of our own up-and-coming NDT technicians and now Assistant Project Manager, Colin Edgar.
Colin was employed by TRAC in 2009 as an apprentice NDT technician and since then has steadily gained experience, relevant qualifications and competence in hands on NDT. He has demonstrated a refreshing and proactive disposition at whatever task he is working on in terms of attitude, ability and delivering for customers, and currently holds qualifications in MPI, DPI, UT and RAD.
In presenting this commendation, Fraser Hardie of BINDT stated;
“Colin has done very well. I hope that Colin continues to do excellent work in the NDT field and that you have the opportunity to nominate him in the future. He’s just the motivated, inspiring youth that the NDT industry needs.”
