April 2012—The George R. Brown Convention Centre, Houston
TRAC was recently invited by Chevron to present a paper at their annual NDE & Pipeline forum in Houston. This event sees Chevron’s key inspection and integrity personnel from around the world congregate in Houston to review global strategy and the latest technologies and innovations on offer.
After TRAC’s recent successes in leading the industry on developing Corrosion Awareness training and competence, Chevron asked us to present on how this was achieved and the benefits it provides.
Stuart Ley, TRAC’s Inspection Manager who was instrumental in these developments and attended the event stated;
“We’re very pleased to be invited by Chevron to demonstrate the steps we have taken over the years to improve the competence of our technicians, and it has been pleasing to see that the Corrosion Awareness training course that we developed is now starting to become the norm across the industry. The opportunity to present to a global audience for one of the largest Oil & Gas operators in the world will continue to drive our industry forward”.
