Inspection Capabilities Bolstered

Inspection Capabilities Bolstered

New inspection appointments and investment in equipment add to global growth aspirations

As TRAC embarks on the next stage of our strategic  business plan, we recognise the need to further prepare for our continued growth, aiming to become the market leading global provider.

International growth continues following the opening of our Australian operational office in 2012. We are on schedule, despite the World Cup activities, to open our business in Brasil later this year. New premises are under construction in Macae, a prime location at the centre of the Brasilian offshore oil & gas industry. Further, we fully recognise the importance of employing local personnel as key to our success in this region.

To support the continued growth of the company TRAC has recently employed new staff in key positions.

We are delighted to soon welcome Bill Brown as Technical Manager. Bill has more than 30 years experience providing the highest level of inspection and testing services to the industry. A Chartered Engineer with PCN Level 3 qualifications and holding a 1st class honours degree in NDT, Bill will assure personnel competence and provide TRAC with vast technical expertise to strengthen our global capabilities.

TRAC is also pleased to announce that Richard Allison has been appointed to develop our ROV services. Richard is an experienced offshore ROV pilot and brings his extensive experience working in oil & gas, aquaculture and other offshore & inshore industry sectors.

TRAC continues to identify and invest in new technologies to assist in service provision and bolster the already established inspection capabilities.

As part of a commitment to innovation, TRAC provides the most up-to-date equipment and has invested in a range of mini ROVs for quick and effective visual inspection of tanks and subsea items. There is also the intention to develop business in various other industries, including aquaculture.

Overall, TRAC has developed internal capability to carry out more specialised services, including Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Phased Array (PAUT), Close Proximity Radiography and mini-ROV inspection and continues to search for innovative solutions.

Gordon Cook, TRAC Operations Director comments

“This year TRAC has seen success across all business sectors, April 2014 was our busiest trading month in 15 years of service provision, and we continue to maintain our renowned excellent safety and delivery levels.
Thank you to all our valued Customers, Suppliers and Staff for helping us achieve this level of success.”
