We offer tailored packages to suit a client’s specific requirements including full project management and technical capability, conventional base and site services and a constantly evolving range of specialist and advanced methods that utilise new and developing technology.

“TRAC technicians carried out a difficult job efficiently and safely, taken advice from the team, given advice back and putting in some great ideas for better, more efficient ways to carry out the job. Very professional, safe and sensible attitude to work, producing safe simple solutions to several problems during the job .”

Trust TRAC to bring the right people and the right tools for the job.

All of our experienced personnel are trained to ensure that any defects are initially identified, and then correctly categorised, sized and reported, contributing to the overall asset integrity assurance process. TRAC’s Corrosion Awareness training, which has been formally accredited within the CSWIP system, is fast becoming an industry recognised standard.

Every piece of technology in the TRAC armoury is put through its paces at the company’s testing facility in order to ensure the company fully understands the capability of its kit and the limitations of its use. This painstaking verification process enables TRAC to recommend the best package of inspection and intervention for a client.

TRAC clients can therefore be assured that the inspection techniques they use on the job will have been tried and tested in trials simulating real-life scenarios. Considerable investment has also been made in digital equipment to expand the scope of inspection and also the diagnosis and analysis of findings so that the most comprehensive solution can be put forward.

Should one particular piece of kit or technique fall short of the requirements of a particular job, TRAC has the extensive knowledge, expertise and resource at their disposal to provide an alternative.

Inspection Techniques

Our evolving portfolio of conventional inspection techniques includes:

  • Visual Inspection (VI)
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
  • Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
  • Eddy Current Inspection (EC)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Radiography (RAD)

Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

These methods are combined to ensure a comprehensive Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) capability for vessels in accordance with DNV-GL103 where appropriate. Specific corrosion mapping software allows detailed analysis of the areas inspected and statistical analysis to be conducted.

Our evolving portfolio includes:

  • Controlled Area Radiography;
  • Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC)
  • Computed (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR)
  • Remote Visual Inspection Systems (UAV, ROV)
  • Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD)
  • Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
  • Corrosion Mapping
  • Tube Inspection (TE, RFET, IRIS, NFT)
  • Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)
  • Long Range Ultrasonics
  • Thermography (IR)
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI)
  • UAV Inspection (UAV)
  • Riser Inspection
  • Caisson inspection
  • Conductor inspection
  • Small Bore Tubing (SBT)
  • Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHA)/li>

We apply our expertise in the following areas:

  • Oil and gas
  • Petrochem and refineries
  • Marine
  • Renewables
  • Power gen

Whatever your inspection needs, you can trust TRAC to use the right tool for the job. All applications have been subject to a stringent verification process.
