TRAC Oil & Gas Ltd held their 7th Annual Golf Outing last month at Newburgh Golf Club

Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club—17th August 2012 Friday the 17th of August at Newburgh Golf Club, saw TRAC’s 7th annual Golf Day with over 30 clients, suppliers and employees competing in unfortunate rainy conditions.However that didn’t stop attendees making the most of their game to achieve fairly respectable scoring. The winning team consisted of Paul Manson (TRAC), Bruce Morrison (Maersk) and Keith Skinner (SRR) with a combined score of 31.67. The best individual player on the day was Lance Maher (Blaze) with a competitive 35 points. The highly anticipated ‘TRAC Shield’ which is awarded to the highest place TRAC employee, went to Paul Manson. Well Done Paul! Thank you to all those who took part. We hoped you enjoyed your day and we very much look forward to next year!

TRAC is delighted to announce that they are now full members of Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG). AREG aims to build a credible and sustainable energy footprint within the Aberdeen and surrounding region to support member companies to identify and promote renewable opportunities for them. TRAC has been working on an offshore wind farm job for the last two years and are expected to work closely within the renewable wind sector in the future. Becoming an AREG member will present TRAC with opportunities to become more widely recognised within the offshore renewable sector.

TRAC has featured on The Sunday Times International Track 200 listing for 2012. This listing identifies the top 200 private companies with the fastest growing international sales over the last two years. With recent overseas developments for TRAC in Australia and Brazil, and sister company Radio Design’s developments in Finland, India and China, TRAC has achieved a 26% growth in Overseas sales over the last 2 years. Looking specifically at Scottish based companies, TRAC is listed in 6th position. Daniel Hawthorn, Managing Director of TRAC Oil & Gas stated;

TRAC continue their support of the ‘Celebrate Aberdeen’ event.

On the 9th June 2012, TRAC continued with our support for Celebrate Aberdeen, this year sponsoring the Instant Neighbour charity. Celebrate Aberdeen is now an annual event in Aberdeen, which aims to highlight the hard work and success of Aberdeen’s third sector, the Voluntary Sector, culminating in a parade and celebrations in the city centre.Instant Neighbour is a local charity within the City of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who provide a range of services for vulnerable peopleexperiencing poverty and homelessness. Scott Baxter, representing Celebrate Aberdeen stated,

“We’re very appreciative of the support shown by the Private Sector organisations for those in the Voluntary sector, and once again, TRAC has been very generous in their sponsorship of the event which is great news”.

TRAC held an Open Day to celebrate the completion of our Aberdeen facility extension, and to demonstrate the latest technologies and innovation. The new 4,000 sq/ft extension houses a purpose built training centre, NDT & radiography facilities, and additional warehousing to enhance existing operations. The TRAC team was on hand to welcome customers, colleagues and suppliers and to demonstrate and discuss the range of services on offer. The facility Opening Ceremony, was performed by Craig Brown CBE, Aberdeen Football Club and ex-Scotland  Manager. Daniel Hawthorn, Managing Director at TRAC Oil & Gas said,

“We were very pleased to welcome our customers to join in our celebration and to get hands-on with some of the latest technologies on offer. It was also a real pleasure to have Craig Brown here to meet the TRAC team and formally open our new facility.
