Long Service Awards

TRAC issues long service awards each year to staff in recognition of their achievements, commitment and loyalty to our business. We are proud of our staff retention rates and retaining extensive knowledge, skills and experience is key to moving us forward in the current market conditions and beyond.

People have always been at the centre of TRAC and our values which include loyalty, achievement and personal development. Our Investors in People accreditation also acknowledges TRAC to be a positive and enjoyable place to work where we get the best performance from both our office and field staff.

Charities Update

We support a number of charities throughout the year and over the festive season TRAC staff raised more than £750 for charitable causes.

The Giving Tree

Our staff always enjoy donating gifts to The Giving Tree. This is the 8th year we have contributed to the appeal which is run by Instant Neighbour and supported by Chevron. In 2015, we saw generous donations with TRAC matching the total to buy lots of gifts!

The Giving Tree delivers around 6,000 gifts to families in the North East who can’t afford presents for their children on Christmas day. We hope that these gifts helped put smiles on many faces!

Samaritans Purse Appeal
Some of our staff filled shoe boxes with toys and gifts for the Samaritans Purse appeal which distributed more than 42,000 boxes to places like Mozambique.

Movember
In November, we raised an impressive £520 for the Movember men’s health campaign – well done to our participants who grew moustaches for this worthy cause!

Transition Extreme Sponsorship
We also became proud sponsors of Transition Extreme this year – a modern social enterprise and charity which uses urban sports to engage the local youth population.

Despite current market conditions, the general feeling at the show was more optimistic than expected. We feel it was one of the most successful shows we have exhibited at as a company.

TRAC Petróleo e Gás LTDA was pleased to exhibit at the recent Brasil Offshore 2015 exhibition in Macaé – the heart of Brasil’s

These included; continuing to raise awareness of TRAC in Brasil as a local service provider, sharing our latest news and developments, speaking to prospective and current clients. We also had the opportunity to showcase TRAC’s capabilities as a supplier delivering Best in Class performance achieving innovative, efficient and cost saving results.

During the exhibition, we announced a recent contract award. TRAC will be working with Consórcio Integra Offshore to provide Rope Access, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance services to their end client Petrobras. This positive news along with the other contracts we hold place our Brasilian operations strongly, contributing significantly to TRAC’s global turnover figure.

‘No Time to Lose’ Campaign

TRAC has signed a pledge to take action as part of the IOSH championed ‘No Time to Lose’ campaign, working with the industry to raise awareness and beat occupational cancer.

An estimated 86% of malignant melanoma cases in the UK are linked to UV radiation from the sun.

The aim is to assist our Field Technicians with the issue of protection whilst exposed to the sun. Specific PPE with UV protection has been issued, risk assessments conducted and written heat management & action plans created. Awareness has been raised through our monthly safety campaigns, all as part of the measures to protect exposed skin – normally the neck area.
